The Cardinal tetra is often confused with the Neon tetra. Although they look very similar they are slightly larger. The red line on the side runs the full length of the body on a cardinal tetra.
 
They are a peaceful schooling fish that prefers to be in a school of at least 6. This tetra will get along with almost any other fish in the community. When in a large group they will exhibit amazing schooling tendencies.
These Cardinal Tetras are tank bred in Raleigh North Carolina.
